ZNF473

Description

The ZNF473 (zinc finger protein 473) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

Zinc finger protein 473 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ZNF473 gene.

ZNF473 plays a role in histone 3‘-end pre-mRNA processing by interacting with the U7 snRNP and SLBP/pre-mRNA complex. Overexpression of ZNF473 leads to increased histone 3‘-end pre-mRNA processing without affecting U7 snRNP levels. It is also crucial for cell cycle progression from the G1 to S phases. ZNF473 is also known as ZFP100, ZN473.
