ZNF136

Description

The ZNF136 (zinc finger protein 136) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

ZNF136 is believed to play a role in regulating gene expression. It acts as a weak repressor when functioning independently, but its repression strength increases significantly when it combines with a different protein containing a KRAB B-domain.

ZNF136 is also known as pHZ-20.
