Description

The ZNF131 (zinc finger protein 131) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

ZNF131 plays a role in development and organogenesis, as well as in the function of the adult central nervous system. It may be involved in transcriptional regulation as a repressor of ESR1/ER-alpha signaling. This information is based on experimental evidence from PubMed articles 18847501 and 22467880.
