ZDHHC14
Description
The ZDHHC14 (zinc finger DHHC-type palmitoyltransferase 14) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.
Zinc finger, DHHC-type containing 14 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ZDHHC14 gene.
ZDHHC14 is a palmitoyltransferase that catalyzes the addition of palmitate onto various protein substrates. It has been shown to have palmitoyltransferase activity toward the beta-2 adrenergic receptor (ADRB2) and thereby regulate G protein-coupled receptor signaling. It may also play a role in cell differentiation and apoptosis.
ZDHHC14 is also known as NEW1CP.
