ZBED3

Description

The ZBED3 (zinc finger BED-type containing 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

Zinc finger BED domain-containing protein 3, also known as axin-interacting protein, is a protein in humans that is encoded by the ZBED3 gene.

ZBED3 positively regulates the canonical Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway by stabilizing cytoplasmic beta-catenin, leading to the activation of Wnt target gene expression. It plays a crucial role in early embryonic development, specifically in the symmetrical division of blastomeres by influencing mitotic spindle positioning and organizing the F-actin filament network. Additionally, ZBED3 regulates the distribution of cellular organelles through its modulation of cytoskeletal dynamics and cytoplasmic lattice formation.

ZBED3 is also known as -.
