WSB1

Description

The WSB1 (WD repeat and SOCS box containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

The WSB1 gene encodes a protein belonging to the WD-protein subfamily. This protein shares a high degree of similarity with its counterparts in mice and chickens. It contains multiple WD-repeats spanning most of the protein and an SOCS box at its C-terminus. Different isoforms of the protein are produced by alternative splicing of the WSB1 gene.

WSB1 is also known as SWIP1, WSB-1.
