WDR20

Description

The WDR20 (WD repeat domain 20) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.

WDR20 is a regulator of deubiquitinating complexes. It activates the deubiquitinating activity of complexes containing USP12 by anchoring at the base of the ubiquitin-contacting loop of USP12 and remotely modulating the catalytic center of the enzyme. WDR20 also regulates the shuttling of the USP12 deubiquitinase complex between the plasma membrane, cytoplasm and nucleus.

WDR20 is also known as Bun107, DMR.
