Description
The URGCP (upregulator of cell proliferation) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.
URGBP is implicated in regulating cell cycle progression, potentially through influencing cyclin D1 expression. It might contribute to the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by supporting hepatocellular growth and survival. Additionally, URGCP may play a significant role in the progression of gastric cancer.
URGCP is also known as URG4.
