UBE2D4

Description

The UBE2D4 (ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 D4 (putative)) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

UBE2D4, a ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme, receives ubiquitin from the E1 complex and facilitates its covalent attachment to other proteins. In laboratory settings, it can promote the formation of polyubiquitin chains using all seven lysine residues on ubiquitin, but exhibits a preference for Lys-11 and Lys-48 linkages.

UBE2D4 is also known as HBUCE1.
