TXNDC9

Description

The TXNDC9 (thioredoxin domain containing 9) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

TXNDC9 is a human gene that encodes a protein belonging to the thioredoxin family. While its precise function remains unclear, it is linked to cell differentiation.

TXNDC9 significantly reduces the ATPase activity of the chaperonin TCP1 complex, which in turn negatively affects protein folding, including that of actin and tubulin.

TXNDC9 is also known as APACD, PHLP3.
