TXNDC12

Description

The TXNDC12 (thioredoxin domain containing 12) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

TXNDC12 (Thioredoxin domain-containing protein 12) is a human protein encoded by the TXNDC12 gene. It is a member of the thioredoxin superfamily, which is related to the TXN (Thioredoxin) gene (MIM 187700).

TXNDC12 acts as a protein-disulfide reductase within the endoplasmic reticulum, facilitating the formation of disulfide bonds in other proteins by utilizing its thiol-disulfide oxidase activity.

TXNDC12 is also known as AG1, AGR1, ERP16, ERP18, ERP19, PDIA16, TLP19, hAG-1, hTLP19.
