TRIM68

Description

The TRIM68 (tripartite motif containing 68) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

TRIM68 is a protein encoded by the TRIM68 gene in humans. It contains a RING finger domain, known for protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions. While expressed in many cancer cell lines, TRIM68 expression in normal tissues is restricted to the prostate. Notably, its expression differs between androgen-dependent and androgen-independent prostate cancer cells. TRIM68 interacts with the androgen receptor.

TRIM68 is also known as GC109, RNF137, SS-56, SS56.
