TPT1
Description
The TPT1 (tumor protein, translationally-controlled 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 13.
TPT1 may refer to: Translationally-controlled tumor protein (TCTP), also known as Fortilin, Histamine-releasing factor, p23.
TPT1, also known as Translationally-controlled tumor protein (TCTP), is involved in calcium binding and microtubule stabilization. It acts as a negative regulator of TSC22D1-mediated apoptosis by interacting with and destabilizing the TSC22D1 protein.
TPT1 is also known as HRF, TCTP, p02, p23.
