TPGS2

Description

The TPGS2 (tubulin polyglutamylase complex subunit 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 18.

TPGS2 is a subunit of the tubulin polyglutamylase complex (TPGC), which is responsible for adding multiple glutamate residues to tubulin proteins. This process, known as polyglutamylation, is essential for the proper formation and movement of cilia and flagella.

TPGS2 is also known as C18orf10, HMFN0601, L17, PGs2.
