TPD52L2
Description
The TPD52L2 (TPD52 like 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.
TPD52L2 encodes for the Tumor protein D54, a protein involved in membrane traffic. TPD52L2 is found on small transport vesicles, termed intracellular nanovesicles, that transfer proteins between cellular compartments. Its depletion in HeLa cells impairs anterograde traffic, cargo recycling, and Golgi integrity. Proteomic analysis indicates that TPD52L2 is highly abundant in HeLa cells. TPD52L2 interacts with TPD52L1 and TPD52.
TPD52L2 is also known as D54, TPD54.
