TMEM45B

Description

The TMEM45B (transmembrane protein 45B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

TMEM45B is a transmembrane protein that plays a role in innate immunity. It promotes the degradation of alphaviruses RNA by interacting with the viral polymerase nsP4 and the mRNA-capping enzyme nsP1. This interaction interferes with the interaction between viral RNA and nsP1, ultimately inhibiting viral RNA replication.

TMEM45B is also known as -.
