TMEM150B
Description
The TMEM150B (transmembrane protein 150B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.
TMEM150B, also known as DRAM-3, is a modulator of macroautophagy. It promotes the accumulation of autophagosomes under normal conditions, thereby enhancing autophagic flux. Additionally, TMEM150B has been shown to suppress cell death and promote long-term cell survival in the absence of glucose, independent of its role in macroautophagy. Further, TMEM150B may participate in the engulfment of extracellular matrix and the recycling of growth factor receptors, both processes that can influence cell survival.
TMEM150B is also known as DRAM3, TMEM224, TTN2.
