Description

The TLL2 (tolloid like 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

The TLL2 gene encodes Tolloid-like protein 2, a zinc-dependent metalloprotease belonging to the astacin-like family. This protein is a member of the metzincin family. Unlike other members of this family, its mouse counterpart does not cleave procollagen C-propeptides or chordin.
