THAP5

Description

The THAP5 (THAP domain containing 5) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

THAP5 binds to specific DNA sequences and can act as a transcriptional repressor. Overexpression of THAP5 in human cell lines leads to cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase, suggesting a potential role in cell cycle regulation.
