Description
The TEN1-CDK3 (TEN1-CDK3 readthrough (NMD candidate)) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 17.
The TEN1-CDK3 complex is a heterodimer composed of the TEN1 protein and the cyclin-dependent kinase 3 (CDK3). TEN1 serves as a scaffolding protein, facilitating the interaction between CDK3 and its substrates, including the retinoblastoma protein (Rb). This interaction is essential for the phosphorylation of Rb, a key event in the regulation of cell cycle progression. Moreover, the TEN1-CDK3 complex participates in the control of DNA replication and repair processes.
The TEN1-CDK3 complex plays a crucial role in regulating the activity of the cyclin-dependent kinase 3 (CDK3).
