TDH
Description
The TDH (L-threonine dehydrogenase (pseudogene)) is a pseudo gene located on chromosome 8.
TDH can refer to: triosephosphate isomerase, an enzyme involved in glycolysis.
The TDH gene provides instructions for making an enzyme called triosephosphate isomerase (TIM). TIM plays a crucial role in glycolysis, a major metabolic pathway that breaks down glucose to produce energy. It catalyzes the reversible conversion of dihydroxyacetone phosphate (DHAP) to glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate (GAP), an essential step in glycolysis.
TDH is also known as SDR14E1P.
