TCERG1

Description

The TCERG1 (transcription elongation regulator 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

TCERG1 (Transcription elongation regulator 1) is a protein encoded by the TCERG1 gene in humans. It resides in the nucleus and plays a role in regulating both transcriptional elongation and pre-mRNA splicing. TCERG1 interacts with the phosphorylated C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II through its multiple FF domains and with the pre-mRNA splicing factor SF1 via its WW domain. Different isoforms of TCERG1 are produced through alternative splicing.

TCERG1 is also known as CA150, TAF2S, Urn1.
