TBC1D15
Description
The TBC1D15 (TBC1 domain family member 15) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.
TBC1D15 is a protein encoded by the TBC1D15 gene in humans. It belongs to the TBC1 domain family.
TBC1D15 acts as a GTPase activating protein for RAB7A, facilitating the inactivation of RAB7A by promoting the hydrolysis of GTP to GDP. Notably, it does not exhibit activity toward other RAB proteins such as RAB4, RAB5, or RAB6.
TBC1D15 is also known as RAB7-GAP.
