TBC1D13

Description

The TBC1D13 (TBC1 domain family member 13) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

TBC1D13 acts as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for RAB35, a small GTPase involved in vesicle trafficking. This interaction with RAB35 suggests a role for TBC1D13 in the regulation of insulin-induced glucose uptake. Specifically, TBC1D13, along with RAB35, may control the movement of the glucose transporter SLC2A4/GLUT4 to the cell surface in adipocytes (fat cells).

TBC1D13 is also known as -.
