Description

The TATDN1 (TatD DNase domain containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 8.

TATDN1 is a deoxyribonuclease that catalyzes the unlinking of circular DNA molecules called kinetoplast DNA. This activity is crucial for chromosome separation and cell cycle progression during eye development.
