TACR2

Description

The TACR2 (tachykinin receptor 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

The TACR2 gene encodes a protein that functions as a receptor for the neuropeptide substance K (neurokinin A). It is involved in signaling pathways that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The receptor exhibits a higher affinity for substance K compared to other tachykinins, such as neuromedin-K and substance P.

The TACR2 gene encodes a receptor for the neuropeptide substance K (neurokinin A). This receptor is coupled to G proteins, which activate a signaling pathway involving phosphatidylinositol and calcium. The receptor exhibits a higher affinity for substance K compared to other tachykinins, such as neuromedin-K and substance P.

TACR2 is also known as NK2R, NKNAR, SKR, TAC2R.
