SYT13

Description

The SYT13 (synaptotagmin 13) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

Synaptotagmin-13 is a protein produced from the SYT13 gene in humans. It is part of the large synaptotagmin protein family, all of which share a similar structure. They have an N-terminal end outside the cell, a single region that crosses the cell membrane, and a C-terminal end inside the cell containing two C2 domains.

SYT13 may play a role in the process of transporting vesicles to the cell's outer membrane (plasma membrane).

SYT13 is also known as -.
