SYNGR3

Description

The SYNGR3 (synaptogyrin 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

SYNGR3 is believed to play a role in regulated exocytosis, a process that releases molecules from cells. It may indirectly control the activity of a protein called SLC6A3, which is responsible for transporting dopamine back into nerve cells after it has been released. This suggests that SYNGR3 could influence the levels of dopamine in the synapse, the space between nerve cells.

SYNGR3 is also known as -.
