SYAP1

Description

The SYAP1 (synapse associated protein 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome X.

SYAP1 is a gene that encodes for Synapse-associated protein 1 in humans.

SYAP1 contributes to the process of adipocyte differentiation by enhancing the phosphorylation of AKT1 at Ser-473. This phosphorylation is triggered by growth factor stimulation and facilitated by the mTORC2 pathway.

SYAP1 is also known as BSTA, PRO3113.
