STXBP3
Description
The STXBP3 (syntaxin binding protein 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.
Syntaxin-binding protein 3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the STXBP3 gene.
== Interactions == Syntaxin binding protein 3 has been shown to interact with STX2 and STX4.
STXBP3, along with STX4 and VAMP2, might be involved in the insulin-dependent transport of GLUT4 and the docking/fusion of intracellular vesicles containing GLUT4 with the cell surface in adipocytes.
STXBP3 is also known as MUNC18-3, MUNC18C, PSP, UNC-18C.
