SPSB3

Description

The SPSB3 (splA/ryanodine receptor domain and SOCS box containing 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

SPSB3 might be involved in protein degradation by acting as a substrate recognition component within a specific type of E3 ubiquitin ligase complex called the ECS complex. This complex tags proteins with ubiquitin, marking them for breakdown by the proteasome.

SPSB3 is also known as C16orf31, SSB3.
