SPOCK2

Description

The SPOCK2 (SPARC (osteonectin), cwcv and kazal like domains proteoglycan 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

Testican-2 is a protein produced by the SPOCK2 gene in humans. It's a type of proteoglycan, which means it's made up of a core protein attached to sugar molecules called glycosaminoglycans. Proteoglycans are important components of the extracellular matrix, the network of molecules that surrounds cells.

SPOCK2 is also known as testican-2.
