SPATS1

Description

The SPATS1 (spermatogenesis associated serine rich 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

SPATS1 is a protein encoded by the SPATS1 gene, located on chromosome 6. It consists of 300 amino acids and has no known transmembrane structure. It contains both alpha helices and beta sheets, suggesting a complex structure. While its precise function is not fully understood, research indicates a role in the Wnt signaling pathway and early spermatogenesis. Despite its importance, no clinically significant SNPs have been identified.

SPATS1, also known as DDIP, SPATA8, and SRSP1, is a protein implicated in the canonical Wnt signaling pathway and the initial spermatogenic wave. While its precise function remains under investigation, its role in these processes suggests its importance in male reproductive development.

SPATS1 is also known as DDIP, SPATA8, SRSP1.
