SP140

Description

The SP140 (SP140 nuclear body protein) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

SP140 is a component of the nuclear body, also known as nuclear domain 10, PML oncogenic domain, and KR body. It may play a role in the pathogenesis of acute promyelocytic leukemia and viral infection. SP140 may also participate in chromatin-mediated regulation of gene expression, although it does not bind to histone H3 tails.

SP140 is also known as LYSP100, LYSP100-A, LYSP100-B.
