SNRPA1

Description

The SNRPA1 (small nuclear ribonucleoprotein polypeptide A') is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 15.

U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein A' is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SNRPA1 gene.

SNRPA1 is involved in pre-mRNA splicing as a component of the spliceosome. It is associated with sn-RNP U2 and contributes to the binding of stem loop IV of U2 snRNA. This protein has been identified in both the spliceosome B and C complexes.

SNRPA1 is also known as Lea1, U2A'.
