SMCO4

Description

The SMCO4 (single-pass membrane protein with coiled-coil domains 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

SMCO4, also known as C11orf75 and FN5, is a gene located on chromosome 11 in humans. It encodes a single-pass membrane protein with a coiled-coil domain. The protein has a high pH and is rich in phosphorylatable amino acids. It is believed to be present in the outer membrane of the mitochondria. SMCO4 has seven isoforms, with isoform 1 containing 9 exons and the remaining isoforms having varying numbers of exons.

SMCO4 is also known as C11orf75, FN5.
