SLITRK5

Description

The SLITRK5 (SLIT and NTRK like family member 5) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 13.

SLIT and NTRK-like protein 5 is a protein found in humans that is encoded by the SLITRK5 gene. SLITRK5 is a transmembrane protein with two N-terminal leucine-rich repeat (LRR) domains similar to those found in SLIT proteins. Like most SLITRKs, SLITRK5 also has C-terminal regions that share similarities with neurotrophin receptors.

Inhibits the growth of nerve cell extensions (neurites).

SLITRK5 is also known as LRRC11, bA364G4.2.
