SLC2A11

Description

The SLC2A11 (solute carrier family 2 member 11) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 22.

SLC2A11, also known as glucose transporter type 10/11 (GLUT-10/11), is a protein encoded by the SLC2A11 gene in humans. It belongs to a family of plasma membrane proteins that facilitate the movement of sugars across cell membranes through a process called facilitative diffusion.

This protein acts as a facilitated glucose transporter, aiding in the movement of glucose across cell membranes.

SLC2A11 is also known as GLUT10, GLUT11.
