SHISA3

Description

The SHISA3 (shisa family member 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 4.

SHISA3 plays a crucial role in the development of the presomitic mesoderm, the tissue that eventually gives rise to the vertebrae and ribs. It does this by regulating the levels of two important signaling pathways: FGF (fibroblast growth factor) and WNT. By fine-tuning these pathways, SHISA3 ensures that the presomitic mesoderm cells mature properly and develop into the correct structures.

SHISA3 is also known as hShisa3.
