SHC3

Description

The SHC3 (SHC adaptor protein 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

SHC-transforming protein 3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SHC3 gene.

SHC3 is a signaling adapter protein that connects activated growth factor receptors to signaling pathways in neurons. It plays a role in the signal transduction pathways of neurotrophin-activated Trk receptors in cortical neurons.

SHC3 is also known as N-Shc, NSHC, RAI, SHCC.
