SHC2

Description

The SHC2 (SHC adaptor protein 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

SHC2 (SHC-transforming protein 2) is a protein encoded by the SHC2 gene in humans. SHC2 has been shown to interact with the Kinase insert domain receptor.

SHC2 acts as a signaling adapter, connecting activated growth factor receptors to signaling pathways within neurons. It specifically participates in the signal transduction pathways of neurotrophin-activated Trk receptors in cortical neurons.

SHC2 is also known as SCK, SHCB, SLI.
