SH3BGRL
Description
The SH3BGRL (SH3 domain binding glutamate rich protein like) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome X.
SH3 domain-binding glutamic acid-rich-like protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SH3BGRL gene.
SH3BGRL appears to function as an adapter protein, linking proteins together or bridging proteins with mRNAs. It may also act as a ubiquitin ligase-substrate adapter. Additionally, it associates with translating cytoplasmic ribosomes, potentially promoting the expression of specific mRNAs.
SH3BGRL is also known as HEL-S-115, SH3BGR.
