Sertraline

Description

Sertraline, a widely prescribed antidepressant, belongs to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class. It effectively treats a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Sertraline works by increasing the levels of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that plays a crucial role in mood regulation, in the brain. This increase in serotonin levels helps alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.
