SERPINB3

Description

The SERPINB3 (serpin family B member 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 18.

Serpin B3 is a protein encoded by the SERPINB3 gene in humans.

Serpin B3 potentially inhibits papain-like cysteine proteases, influencing the immune response to cancer. It also hinders apoptosis triggered by ultraviolet radiation by suppressing c-Jun NH(2)-terminal kinase (JNK1) activity.

SERPINB3 is also known as HsT1196, SCC, SCCA-1, SCCA-PD, SCCA1, SSCA1, T4-A.
