SEMA3B

Description

The SEMA3B (semaphorin 3B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

Semaphorin-3B is a protein encoded by the SEMA3B gene in humans. It belongs to the semaphorin/collapsin family, which plays a crucial role in guiding growth cones during neuronal development. Semaphorin-3B is secreted and acts as a tumor suppressor by inducing apoptosis. It also plays a significant role in axonal guidance.

SEMA3B is also known as LUCA-1, SEMA5, SEMAA, SemA, semaV.
