Description

The SEBOX (SEBOX homeobox) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

SEBOX is believed to be a transcription factor that plays a key role in guiding the development of mesoderm and endoderm, the germ layers that give rise to many different tissues and organs.

SEBOX is also known as OG-9, OG9, OG9X.
