The SCPEP1 (serine carboxypeptidase 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

Retinoid-inducible serine carboxypeptidase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the SCPEP1 gene.

May play a role in maintaining the health and stability of blood vessel walls and kidneys.

SCPEP1 is also known as HSCP1, RISC.
