SCNM1

Description

The SCNM1 (sodium channel modifier 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

SCNM1 is a protein that is involved in the splicing of U12-type introns in pre-mRNAs. It is a component of the minor spliceosome, which is a complex of proteins that is responsible for splicing these types of introns. SCNM1 also plays a role in the regulation of primary cilia length and Hedgehog signaling.

SCNM1 is also known as OFD19.
