SCAF11

Description

The SCAF11 (SR-related CTD associated factor 11) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

SCAF11 contributes to the intricate process of pre-mRNA alternative splicing by precisely controlling the assembly of the spliceosome, a crucial molecular machine that determines which parts of a pre-mRNA molecule are included in the final mRNA product.

SCAF11 is also known as CASP11, SFRS2IP, SIP1, SRRP129, SRSF2IP.
