RUSC1-AS1

Description

The RUSC1-AS1 (RUSC1 antisense RNA 1) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 1.

RUSC1-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) located on chromosome 11. It‘s transcribed from the opposite strand of the RUSC1 gene, hence the ‘-AS1‘ designation. LncRNAs often play regulatory roles in gene expression and cellular processes, but the specific function of RUSC1-AS1 is still under investigation.

The precise function of RUSC1-AS1 remains largely unknown, but it‘s believed to play a role in gene regulation. Some studies suggest it might act as a sponge for microRNAs, thereby indirectly influencing the expression of other genes. Additionally, RUSC1-AS1 may be involved in cellular processes like proliferation and differentiation.

RUSC1-AS1 is also known as C1orf104.
